Missouri Minimum Wage Reaches $13.75
Effective January 1, 2025, Missouri’s minimum wage will increase to $13.75 an hour under Proposition A, which was approved by the voters in 2024. According to the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, employers must pay tipped employees at least half of the minimum wage, $6.875 per hour, plus any amount necessary to bring the employee’s total compensation to a minimum of $13.75 per hour.
Exceptions include retail or service businesses with annual gross income of less than $500,000. For more information and resources on Missouri’s minimum wage, CLICK HERE.
NFIB Missouri, along with several representatives of Missouri’s business community, has filed a legal challenge to overturn Proposition A.
