STILLWATER, OK (June 10, 2026) – In a new video, NFIB member and Oklahoma small business owner Glenn Pappas warns that if State Question 832 is approved by the voters, it will be much more difficult for entry-level Oklahomans to find jobs.

The [minimum wage] increases they’re talking about [under State Question 832], will flow all the way through the system. […] So then I have to start looking at what do I cut? How do I get back to where I can keep my doors open and keep going? And take a salary for myself. And there are so many different things you have to start cutting.”

“When you look at the entry-level jobs, a lot of those jobs are for the first-time person coming into the workforce, like young people. We’re in a college town, so we have a lot of college employees. A lot of them do work minimum-wage jobs and minimum hours, because they are going to school. Those entry-level jobs are going to be the first ones cut. And so it’s going to be a lot tougher for those kids to find jobs.”
