U.S. Rep. Claudia Tenney knows firsthand how difficult it is for small business owners to stay afloat and remain competitive in the face of high taxes, burdensome regulations, and the Affordable Care Act.
Tenney, a longtime NFIB member, is the co-owner of commercial printing and manufacturing company Mid-York Press in Sherburne, New York. “To me, the Obamacare issue is critically important,” Tenney says. “Obviously, so are taxes and regulations, but Obamacare is sort of all of that wrapped in one. It’s the defining feature.”
Tenney has served three terms in the New York State Assembly. In November 2016, she was elected to represent New York’s 22nd District in the U.S. House of Representatives.

“I think having a voice like mine in Washington is going to be helpful to the small business community,” Tenney says. “I think there’s a lot of insight that I can bring to the job, knowing what the burdens are of a small business owner.”
