Governor Abbott at Small Business Day: We’re Going to Leave Session With Small Businesses Doing Better Than Ever

Thank you to all our members who joined us for a successful Small Business Day here in Austin! We couldn’t have done it without you. In case you couldn’t join, Governor Abbott reiterated his commitment to property tax and regulatory relief during his keynote address, saying: “We’re going to leave this session with small businesses doing better than they ever have.” Following the event, NFIB State Director Annie Spilman said: “In the past three years, local job creators have faced numerous economic uncertainties. Still, small businesses have shown their resiliency. Governor Abbott has made the commitment to endorse legislation that would protect against regulatory overreach that would create barriers to economic growth, workforce development and fiscal stability. When lawmakers here in Austin help our small business owners, they help all Texans.” Thank you, again, to all our members for joining us here in Austin.
