U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville met today with small business owners from across the state as part of NFIB’s Virtual Fly-In.
Ordinarily, NFIB members gather in Washington, D.C., each summer to learn more about the issues affecting America’s small businesses and meet with lawmakers and their staffs on Capitol Hill, but because of concerns over the pandemic, this year’s event was held online.
Tuberville spoke with NFIB members and listened to their concerns about a host of issues including the state’s labor shortage, pandemic recovery, and rural healthcare. “We want to help you as much as possible because the state of Alabama and this country are going to go as far you take in terms of small business,” Tuberville said. “You all got a great organization with people that are doing things the right way to help the people of Alabama.”
NFIB State Director Rosemary Elebash said, “We truly appreciate Senator Tuberville for taking time to talk to our members about some of the issues affecting their ability to own, operate, and grow their small businesses. NFIB members look forward to meeting with Senator Tuberville around Alabama and sharing their concerns about taxes, government regulations, and other issues that are critical to Main Street.”
