Colorado Small Businesses Endorse Barb Kirkmeyer

DENVER, Colo. (Aug. 22, 2022) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, endorsed Barb Kirkmeyer for election to the United States House of Representatives to represent Colorado’s 8th Congressional District.

“Barb Kirkmeyer has been an excellent state senator, and we are pleased to endorse her today to the U.S. House of Representatives,” said Tony Gagliardi, NFIB Colorado State Director. “During her tenure in the Colorado legislature, she earned a nearly perfect NFIB voting record. She was previously Weld County Commissioner where she eliminated the sales tax, reduced property taxes, and worked to reduce and eliminate regulations where she could. As a former small business owner, Barb Kirkmeyer understands how burdensome government regulations and excessive taxes make it difficult for small businesses to succeed. She is a proven fighter against government overreach and will be a strong leader for small businesses in Washington.”

“We are confident that Barb Kirkmeyer will be a reliable pro-small business Member of Congress,” said Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director. “Her experience as a state senator, county commissioner, and small business owner will prove to be an asset in Congress. On behalf of small businesses in Colorado’s 8th Congressional District, we are proud to endorse her today.”

The endorsement is issued from NFIB FedPAC, NFIB’s political action committee. NFIB FedPAC is funded by voluntary contributions by NFIB members over and above their membership dues. Decisions made by the NFIB FedPAC are managed by a member-driven grassroots evaluation.
