NFIB Texas Discusses Ongoing Workforce Challenges With Dallas’ Fox 4

February 7, 2025

NFIB report finds job openings were the highest in the transportation, construction, and manufacturing sectors.

In a conversation with Fox 4’s Shaun Rabb on the economic outlook of 2025 NFIB Texas State Director Jeff Burdett highlighted the findings of NFIB’s latest Jobs Report, which found that 47% of owners reported few or no qualified applicants for the positions they were trying to fill.

“They’re having a hard time attracting the workers that they need,” Burdett said. “So, almost half of all businesses in our recent report reported not being able to hire workers. And this is especially important in skill, in skill and trades, manufacturing, in transportation, construction.”
