Congresswoman Gets High Marks from the National Federation of Independent Business

Washington, D.C. (October 13, 2016) – The National Federation of
Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading representative of small
business owners, is endorsing Rep. Kristi
Noem for re-election. Noem has a strong record of supporting legislation
that would help small businesses and should be returned to the U.S. House of
Representatives.
“Congresswoman Kristi Noem has been a consistent,
strong voice for South Dakota small businesses,” said NFIB/South Dakota State Director Lindsey Riter-Rapp. “In her most
recent term, she stood with small business owners on every critical vote. She
has voted to relieve small businesses from the burdens of high taxes, excessive
regulations, and Obamacare. We want to see her back in Congress next year.”
“Our mission in
Congress should be to create an environment where job creators can thrive,
expand their businesses, create new jobs and help grow a healthy economy,” said
Noem. “Too often we’ve had to play defense against this Administration that has
taken federal over-reach to a whole new level. We will keep working hard to
free small business owners from the burdens of bureaucracy and red tape. It’s a
pleasure to work with NFIB, and I’m grateful for this important endorsement.”
Noem qualified for an endorsement from the
NFIB by achieving a high rating on votes scored in the current Congress. The
Congresswoman earned 100 percent on the 14 votes NFIB has monitored so far. The

Noem’s endorsement today comes from the
NFIB SAFE Trust, the organization’s political action committee. Small
business owners vote in high percentages and they are influential in their
communities.
