How Has The Ohio Small Business Investor Deduction Benefited You

Date: January 17, 2017

The Ohio Legislature has preserved the Small Business Investor Deduction (SBID), allowing pass-through entities to deduct the first $250,000 in business income from taxation. This incredible recognition of the importance of small business ensures that your hard-earned income stays within your business to reinvest, expand and grow.

Ohio is facing some potential revenue challenges.  We need your help to demonstrate to public policy makers the importance of this tax deduction to the success of small business.

Since 2014, when the deduction was first enacted, have you hired new individuals?  Or expanded your operations?  Or purchased new equipment?

Share your story by e-mailing the details to Chris Ferruso, NFIB/Ohio Legislative Director at [email protected] so we may share it with your elected officials.
