Regulations, healthcare, minimum wage—the small business community had a lot to say about these issues and more.
Plain and simple: Small businesses are sick of regulations. (Not that that needs much justification, but check out the response to a recent chilling regulation report that highlights how bad the problem has gotten.)
So when the need to reduce federal regulations was brought up during Pres. Barack Obama’s final State of the Union address, the small business community did not miss a beat, and Twitter flooded with calls to decrease that burden.
WHAT DID THE STATE OF THE UNION MEAN FOR SMALL BUSINESS? CHECK OUT NFIB’S COVERAGE FOR MORE.
But regulations weren’t the only subject that received an outpouring of comments. Small business also latched on to the importance of Main Street in the economy, the rising cost of healthcare, the burden of energy policies and more.
Here’s what people had to say:
I’m glad to hear that small business is a priority. As a fledgling entrepreneur this is uber important to me. #SOTU

Obama still worried about minimum wage, gun laws, paid leave when sick. And you wonder why we’re in trillions of debt. Small biz can’t win.
