Warning for Merchants Using Credit Card Processors

Date: November 04, 2015

According
to the NFIB Research Foundation, nearly a quarter of small business owners are
still in the dark on new rules that now affect small business merchants who
have yet to switch to EMV chip-enabled terminals. As of October 1, 2015,
merchants are liable for fraudulent credit card transactions unless they are
using an EMV chip-enabled system. Accordingly, it’s imperative to check with
your credit card processing company to be sure that your system is up to standard.
