DES MOINES (July 16, 2015): Today the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is applauding Decker Truck Line for hosting a presidential candidate tomorrow and hoping to see the issues that plague small businesses take center stage as Iowans attend the meet and greet.

“Iowans see Presidential hopefuls coming and going on a more frequent basis every day. It’s frustrating that candidates don’t spend more time talking about the back bone of our economy and Iowa’s biggest employer, the small business owner,” said NFIB State Director, Kristin Failor. “Tomorrow the small business community will be keeping a close eye on the event taking place at Decker Truck Line and as a member of NFIB I’m sure Don Decker will be able to communicate the concerns of small business owners throughout the state, and even the country.”

Decker Truck Line will be visited tomorrow by U.S. Senator and Presidential Candidate, Marco Rubio. According to his campaign this is the first time he will be visiting the area as a Presidential Candidate.

“As much as we love being a battle ground state for national politics, it’s important that candidates don’t just pose for photo ops, but listen to the concerns of the people that they meet with. The more our national leaders begin to understand the plight of the small business owner, the better chance we have in reducing burdensome regulations and making the cost of doing business more feasible for our country’s entrepreneurs,” concluded Failor.
