Small Business owners explain why a $10.10 minimum wage would be a real problem

Date: April 02, 2015

Governor Tom Wolf says he supports a $10.10 minimum wage in
Pennsylvania.  That is almost a $3.00 an
hour increase.  When additional payroll
taxes an employer must pay are added in, that brings the cost to about $4.00 an
hour for the employer. While large companies may be able to juggle to find
those additional funds, many small businesses don’t have the resources or the flexibility.  These three NFIB members, small business
owners in Pennsylvania, explain why they would have to cut hours, cut jobs, and
raise prices if the $10.10 minimum wage is passed in Pennsylvania.
