SMALL BUSINESS COMMENT ON SCOTUS DECISION TO UPHOLD ACA SUBSIDY
HARTFORD (June 25, 2015): The
much anticipated Supreme Court decision on the Affordable Care Act was
announced this morning much to the disappointment of the National Federation of
Independent Business (NFIB). The following statement may be attributed to NFIB
Connecticut State Director Andrew Markowski:
“The Affordable Care Act,
contrary to what supporters will tell you, was never intended to make
healthcare more affordable to everyone. It is essentially a health care subsidy
paid for by hard working people, including the small business community in
Connecticut. Today’s ruling is deeply disappointing and is just one more missed
opportunity to alleviate the burden on the backs of small employers.”
