SMALL BUSINESS COMMENT ON SCOTUS DECISION TO UPHOLD ACA SUBSIDY
MADISON (June 25, 2015): The much anticipated Supreme Court decision on the Affordable Care Act was announced this morning much to the disappointment of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB). The following statement may be attributed to NFIB Wisconsin State Director Bill G. Smith:
“Small business in Wisconsin remains deeply disappointed in the Affordable Care Act. The central defect in the law is that it was never designed to make health insurance more affordable for everyone, as its supporters, including the President, promised. It was designed to subsidize health insurance for some Americans at the expense of others. Local business owners remain among many groups of Americans for whom the law is a failure.”
