Small Business Backs Greenberg in Connecticut’s 5th Congressional District

Hartford
(October 23, 2014) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB)
today announced its support for Mark Greenberg in Connecticut’s 5th
Congressional District race.

“Connecticut’s
small business community needs a strong advocate in Washington and Mark
Greenberg will ensure our voice is heard,” said NFIB/Connecticut State Director
Andrew Markowski.

NFIB
is the country’s leading advocate for small business owners representing
thousands of members in Connecticut.

“As a
business owner, Mark Greenberg understands both the priorities and the concerns
of our members. While many may claim to care about small business when an
election is looming, Mark has spent a lifetime focused on what matters most to
NFIB.” Said Markowski.

“When
it came to voting on key small business issues this past Congress, Rep. Esty
had an abysmal record of 20%.” said NFIB Vice President Lisa Goeas, who heads
the organization’s political and grassroots operation, “Having more business
owners in Washington is vital not only for Connecticut, but nationwide, and
Mark Greenberg will bring his decades of job creation experience to Washington
D.C.”

Greenberg’s
endorsement was made by the NFIB SAFE Trust, the organization’s political
action committee.  Surveys show that small business owners are influential
in their communities and NFIB members in Connecticut’s 5th Congressional
District will work hard this year to send Mark Greenberg to Washington.
