SMALL BUSINESS APPLAUDS PASSAGE OF RIGHT-TO-WORK LEGISLATION

MADISON (March 6, 2015):
Today the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is commending the Assembly for passing Right-to-Work legislation, 62-35, during
a marathon floor session that ended Friday morning.

“This legislation provides workers the freedom to make
important decisions that impact the conditions of their employment,” said Bill
G. Smith, NFIB Wisconsin State Director, “we believe it will help improve our
state’s economy and actually strengthen our workforce.”

Small business supported the passage of the Senate Bill last
week, commending the authors of this legislation for being proactive toward
improving the state’s economy and strengthening the workforce.

“The legislation has broad support throughout Wisconsin, our
small business community looks forward to Senate Bill 44 becoming law, and we
are pleased our state will soon become the 25th Right-to-Work state in the
nation,” said Smith.

Governor Walker will sign the bill into law on Monday, March
9th.
