Rep. Denny Hoskins Receives Guardian of Small Business Award

Date: May 20, 2014

The Missouri office of National Federation of Independent Business, the state’s leading small-business association, has presented its coveted Guardian of Small Business Award to House Speaker Denny Hoskins (54th District).
The Guardian of Small Business award is the most prestigious honor that NFIB bestows on legislators in recognition of their efforts to support small business issues. The NFIB/Missouri Leadership Council, an advisory board comprised of NFIB members, voted to present the award to Hoskins for supporting small-business issues in the Legislature.
Speaker Hoskins has been a steadfast defender of Missouri’s small businesses, said Brad Jones, state director of NFIB/Missouri.
“Representative Hoskins has repeatedly demonstrated that he cares about the success of Missouri’s small business owners,” Jones said. “As a small business owner himself, he understands the challenges of running a company. He has worked tirelessly to bring down taxes and reduce the number of harmful regulations that stand in the way of job growth.
“On behalf of all small businesses in Missouri, NFIB would like to thank Speaker Hoskins for his hard work and dedication to our state’s entrepreneurs,” Jones said.
NFIB has over 8700 dues-paying members in Missouri, representing a cross section of the state’s economy. Learn more at www.NFIB.com/MO.
