Tuesday, August 26 was primary day in Florida, and pro-small business candidates fared well in several hot races. NFIB/Florida did not lose a single race that we engaged in – 17 out of 18 of our NFIB small business endorsed candidates prevailed in their primary elections. The outstanding race is House District 15 in Jacksonville where Jay Fant, the NFIB-endorsed candidate, is leading Paul Renner by three votes heading into a mandatory manual recount. We won’t know the results of that race for a few days but we will watch it very closely.
