NFIB/TX Endorses Dan Patrick for Lieutenant Governor

Date: September 19, 2014

The National Federation of Independent Business/Texas
announced today their support for Republican Dan Patrick for Lieutenant
Governor of Texas.

“During his seven years in the Texas Senate, Dan
Patrick has consistently showed his support for small business.” said
Will Newton, NFIB/Texas Executive Director. “His priorities align with those of
NFIB, which is shown through his record of standing for free enterprise,
limited government, supporting entrepreneurship and small business.
Senator Patrick understands the value of small businesses and the jobs they
create.  We are pleased to support him.”

As Senator, Patrick helped
pass a $172 million tax cut for small business and was recognized as Guardian
of Small Business by NFIB  for every
session he served in the Legislature.  He
served most recently as the chairman of Senate Education Committee.

NFIB has 24,000 dues-paying members in Texas
representing a cross-section of the state’s economy.  The endorsement
comes from NFIB’s Save America’s Free Enterprise (SAFE) Trust, the
association’s political action committee, and is based on positions on key
small business issues including healthcare, taxes, and labor and regulatory
issues.

Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known
for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the
polls.  NFIB will encourage its members to help turn out the
small-business vote for Patrick on November 4.
