The National Federation of Independent Business/Ohio
(NFIB/Ohio) stands in strong opposition to State Issue 3, which would place
legalized marijuana into the Ohio Constitution. Among the major concerns voiced
by our 25,000 members are the ability of potential employees to successfully
pass a drug test, the creation of a monopolistic system that self-governs and
taxes the industry and significant workplace safety issues that will arise at
their places of business.
We recently spoke to NFIB member Richland Source, an online
news site committed to Richland County, OH and connecting its citizens with one
another & the rest of the world about the issue after a recent Area Action
Council meeting in Mansfield Ohio. The story can be seen here: http://www.richlandsource.com/business/nfib-ohio-opposes-marijuana-legalization-issue/article_3d459f86-566f-11e5-96bf-df4a183d9aba.html
We are not the only ones who oppose State issue 3. A long list of business groups, medical
associations and children’s advocates can be found here: http://noissue3.com/index.php/we-re-voting-no
