The National Federation of Independent Business/Ohio
(NFIB/Ohio) stands in strong opposition to State Issue 3, which would place
legalized marijuana into the Ohio Constitution. Among the major concerns voiced
by our 25,000 members are the ability of potential employees to successfully
pass a drug test, the creation of a monopolistic system that self-governs and
taxes the industry and significant workplace safety issues that will arise at
their places of business.
We are travelling the state doing meetings with members,
speaking to outside groups and the media to encourage a NO vote on State Issue
3 that will enrich a select few individuals though the effort to place
legalized marijuana in the Ohio Constitution.
