Gregg Thompson released the
following statement today in response to Gov. Pat McCrory signing a
proclamation declaring Nov. 28 Small Business Saturday in the State of
North Carolina:
“Our members are grateful for Governor McCrory’s
support and encouragement.
“Small business is what our economy is all about, and if
we’re going to create jobs, we need a healthy small-business community.
“Small and independent business owners are among the most
generous supporters of civic groups, local charities, youth sports, schools and
virtually every other form of community activity. Supporting these merchants is
a great way for people to help their friends and neighbors and create jobs and
opportunities here at home.”
