NFIB: Small Business Endorses Candidates in 13 Legislative Races
COLUMBIA, Sept. 29, 2014—The National Federation of Independent Business, Alabama’s leading small-business association, has endorsed candidates in 13 legislative races. The endorsements were made by the NFIB/South Carolina SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, which is comprised exclusively of NFIB members.
“NFIB supports the candidates who support small business,” said Ben Homeyer, state director of NFIB/South Carolina. “These endorsed candidates have consistently voted to reduce burdens on small businesses or have pledged to support them on key issues impacting their operations.”
The NFIB/South Carolina’s SAFE Trust’s endorsement is critical to the candidates’ campaigns. Small-business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB has pledged it will activate its grassroots network on behalf of the campaign. NFIB’s political support is based on the candidates’ positions and records on small-business issues.
NFIB/South Carolina is the state’s leading small-business association, with 4,000 dues-paying members representing a cross section of the state’s economy.
