NFIB Members Encouraged to Comment on Proposed TDOT Rule

Date: April 24, 2015

NFIB members
with driveway entrances along state highways may want to consider reading and
commenting on the proposed rule from Tennessee’s Department of Transportation
(TDOT).  Scroll
to “Transportation” and click “View Filing
.”

Per T.C.A.
4-5-203(a)(2), state agencies are required to convey effective notice to
persons who are likely to have an interest in the proposed rulemaking.
The public hearing will be held on June 11, 2015, at TDOT’s Regional Office on
Centennial Boulevard, and the public comment period will be held open until
June 30, 2015.  Any questions, please contact John Reinbold, TDOT general
counsel, at 615-741-2941 or [email protected].

NFIB members
may also want to consider subscribing to email alerts from state agencies that
propose rules and regulations of their trade or enterprise.  NFIB helped
pass legislation several years ago that enables this option of actual
notice.  You can set this up with many agencies by providing your email
when you renew your license.  You can also contact
Business Services
with the Secretary of State’s Office for direction.
