Ben Homeyer, state director of the National Federation of Independent Business, has released the following statement:
“Thanks to our members, NFIB/South Carolina helped elect pro-business candidates to state and federal office on Tuesday.
“All 15 of South Carolina candidates endorsed by the NFIB SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust won. That includes Gov. Nikki Haley and Attorney General Alan Wilson and 13 legislative candidates, including NFIB members Dan Hamilton and Ralph Norman.
“On the federal level, all eight of NFIB’s endorsed candidates won, including Sens. Lindsey Graham and Tim Scott, and Reps. Mick Mulvaney, Joe Wilson, Tom Rice, Trey Gowdy, Mark Sanford and NFIB member Jeff Duncan.
“NFIB is the voice of small business in South Carolina and in Washington, D.C., and on Election Day, our voice was heard loud and clear! Tuesday’s victories were a big step toward our goal of promoting and protecting the right of our members to own, operate and grow their businesses.”
