NFIB Endorses 3 Incumbents in June 3 Mississippi Congressional Primary

Date: May 22, 2014

The National Federation of Independent Business, Mississippi’s and the nation’s leading small-business association, today announced the endorsement of three members of the U.S. House of Representatives running for reelection.
“We support the members of Congress who support small business, and each of these members has earned a 100-percent NFIB voting record this session,” said Ron Aldridge, state director of NFIB/Mississippi
The endorsed candidates are:
  • Alan Nunnelee (1st District)
  • Gregg Harper (3rd District)
  • Steven Palazzo (4th District)
“These three Congressmen clearly understand the challenges faced by entrepreneurs, small business owners and their families. Year in and year out, each of them has supported Main Street Mississippi by consistently speaking up and voting for legislation that will help our small businesses grow and create jobs,” Aldridge said.
NFIB has over 3,000 dues-paying members in Mississippi representing a cross-section of the state’s economy. The endorsements come from NFIB’s SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, the association’s political action committee, and are based on positions regarding key small-business issues including health care, taxes, labor and regulatory issues.
Small-business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB will encourage its members to help turn out the small-business vote for the candidates in the June 3 primary and again in November.
