New Hampshire NFIB members gathered in Concord to
officially award Scott Brown with the coveted small business NFIB SAFE Trust endorsement
on Monday, September 29th. Small business owners gathered at North Country
Tractor in Pembroke to declare their support for Brown’s candidacy against
incumbent Senator Jean Shaheen.
NFIB member Bob
Washburn of Concord provided opening remarks touting Scott Brown’s small
business lifetime voting record of 94%. The owner of North Country Tractor,
Bill Taranovich, also provided comments regarding his hesitancy in hiring and
expanding his business for fear of triggering Obamacare penalties and fines.
Following the
small business owner comments, Scott Brown reconfirmed his commitment to small businesses
in New Hampshire and thanked NFIB for their support. He stated he was proud to earn the endorsement of the “premiere business organization in the country”. Brown then fielded
questions from the press.
Brown’s endorsement was made by
the NFIB SAFE Trust, NFIB’s political action committee. Surveys show that
small business owners are influential in their communities and NFIB will
encourage its members to help turn out the small-business vote for Scott
Brown on Election Day.
