NFIB Endorses Chris Gibson in NY-19
America’s leading small business group launches new online advertising, mobilizes New York businesses and workers in “Vote for Main Street” campaign supporting Gibson
Albany (October 1, 2014) – The National Federation of Independent Business, the nation’s leading small-business association, today endorsed Rep. Chris Gibson for U.S. Congress in New York’s 19th Congressional District.
“In his time in Congress, Rep. Gibson has been an extremely reliable supporter of small business and his positions on the important federal issues are perfectly in tune with our members,” said NFIB/New York State Director Mike Durant. “His voting record shows that Rep. Gibson is a true champion of small business and voters in NY-19 have an opportunity to send a real leader to Washington.”
In addition to today’s endorsement, NFIB launched a digital ad campaign urging voters to support Chris Gibson, as well as a House candidate webpage on its National Election Center website. Voters can find tools on the website that make it easy to volunteer, donate and support Chris Gibson. The effort is part of the NFIB’s Vote for Main Street campaign.
“Our members back the candidates who support small business and Rep. Chris Gibson is committed to helping fight for small business,” said Lisa Goeas, NFIB vice president for Political and Grassroots. “Re-electing Rep. Gibson to Congress is critical to small business owners in NY-19.”
Gibson’s endorsement was made by the NFIB SAFE Trust, the organization’s political action committee. Surveys show that small business owners are influential in their communities and NFIB members in New York’s 19th Congressional District will work hard this year to send Rep. Chris Gibson back to Washington.
