NFIB Endorses Barbara Comstock for Congress

Date: July 30, 2014

The NFIB SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust has endorsed Barbara Comstock’s congressional campaign for the 10th District of Virginia.

“Barbara Comstock understands the challenges facing Virginia’s job creators and her record as a Virginia Delegate has proven that she is dedicated to creating jobs for the 10th District,” said Nicole Riley, State Director of NFIB Virginia. “We know Delegate Comstock will put job creation first. With the nation’s unemployment rate still far too high, we need leaders like Barbara Comstock in Congress to create a fiscally responsible approach that will allow small businesses to grow and create jobs.”

“As a small businesswoman I understand the challenges Virginia businesses face, and I am committed to championing tax relief and regulatory relief for small businesses across the Commonwealth,” said Delegate Barbara Comstock. “I know what it takes to create good paying jobs and a healthy economy, and as a Delegate I have worked on legislation that has made Virginia a top state for job creation. Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and I am honored to once again have the endorsement of the NFIB. As a Congresswoman, I will continue to work with the NFIB to create an economy where small businesses can thrive.”

NFIB has over 5,000 dues-paying members in Virginia representing a cross-section of the Commonwealth’s economy. The endorsement comes from NFIB’s SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, the association’s political action committee, and is based on positions regarding key small business issues including health care, taxes, and labor and regulatory issues.

Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB will encourage its members to help turn out the small business vote for the candidates in the November general election.
