NFIB Endorses 4 Incumbents

Date: May 22, 2014

The National Federation of Independent Business, Alabama’s and the nation’s leading small-business association, today announced the endorsement of four members of the U.S. House of Representatives running for reelection.
“We support members of Congress who support small business, and each of these members of congress has earned a 100-percent NFIB voting record this session,” said Rosemary Elebash, state director of NFIB/Alabama.
The candidates are:
  • Martha Roby (2nd District)
  • Mike Rogers (3rd District, member of NFIB)
  • Robert Aderholt (4th District)
  • Mo Brooks (5th District)
“Year in and year out, each of these members of Congress has supported Main Street Alabama by consistently voting for legislation that will help our small businesses grow and create jobs,” Elebash said.
NFIB has over 7,000 dues-paying members in Alabama representing a cross-section of the state’s economy. The endorsements come from NFIB’s SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, the association’s political action committee, and are based on positions regarding key small-business issues including health care, taxes, and labor and regulatory issues.
Small-business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB will encourage its members to help turn out the small-business vote for the candidates in the June 3 primary and again in November.
