Tom Underwood, state director of the National Federation of Independent Business, released this statement after the Associated Press declared Sen. Mitch McConnell the winner in the Kentucky Senate race:
“Senator McConnell’s win is a big victory for Kentucky’s small businesses. He has a 95-percent NFIB lifetime voting record. He supports the issues that matter to Main Street. He understands that burdening small businesses with unnecessary regulations and excessive taxes makes it even harder for them to grow and create the jobs the commonwealth needs. Senator McConnell has done everything he can to help our members prosper, and I have no doubt he’ll continue standing for small business in the years to come.”
