NFIB and
Coalition Partners Hosted Live Telephone Town Hall
Washington, DC (June 12,
2015) – Earlier this week, the National
Federation of Independent Business and coalition partners hosted a
telephone town hall with Sen. Kelly
Ayotte (R-N.H.) for members in her state. A recording of that call is now
available online.
Business owners asked questions related to the senator’s stance on issues that
they care about including tax reform, the high costs of health insurance and
expansive EPA regulations.
“I appreciated the opportunity to speak with New Hampshire
business owners and hear their feedback about ways to create a better economic
climate that helps them grow their businesses and create jobs,” said Senator Ayotte. “As a member of
the Small Business and Commerce Committees, I’ll continue working to cut
Washington red tape, provide businesses with relief from burdensome federal
regulations, and make our tax code more competitive.”
Over 300 members from various associations joined in the
call. The coalition sponsoring the forum included the NFIB, National
Association of Manufacturers, National Retail Federation, Associated Builders
and Contractors, Associated General Contractors and the Business Industry
Political Action Committee.
“We’re very
grateful to Senator Ayotte for taking the time to directly answer our member’s
questions,” said Bruce Berke, NFIB/New
Hampshire State Director. “We appreciate the Senator’s stand for small
business, especially when it comes to federal government regulations. As a
family business owner, she understands how hard it is be successful when
Washington wants to control almost every aspect of what you do. We know that
she is listening to our concerns and acting to make New Hampshire a great home
for small businesses.”

Ayotte on the call is attached.
