Presidential Candidate Takes Questions in Nationwide Call

Washington,
DC (December 10, 2015)
– This afternoon, presidential candidate Gov. John Kasich
answered questions from business leaders in a nationwide TeleForum. A coalition
of business groups including the National
Federation of Independent Business (NFIB)
organized the call for their
members, the fourth in a series that will continue up to the start of
primaries. Kasich discussed a wide variety of topics including health care,
growing a small business, tax reform, regulations, education, and environmental
policy.

“Small
business owners are very uncertain about the economy right now with NFIB
research showing a drop in optimism at a critical time for sales,” said NFIB CEO Dan Danner. “Gov. Kasich today
made his case for how he would revive our economy and help clear the way for
growth. He has been a longtime friend to small business in his work both in
Washington and Ohio. We’re grateful that he took the time to answer the critical
questions about how we increase confidence for people who are taking the big
risks to create jobs and prosperity.”

Kasich
is the fourth leading presidential contender to accept the invitation to speak
with members of the business coalition composed of Associated General
Contractors, Associated Builders and Contractors, BIPAC, National Association
of Manufacturers, NFIB and the National Retail Federation. Top polling
candidates from both parties have been invited to participate in the
TeleForums.

Members asked questions about the candidate’s plan for reducing
health care costs, freezing federal regulations, government health programs,
how to improve schools, and the new EPA waters of the United States regulation.
