For the 2015 Legislative Session

Author: Tony Malandra Date: June 11, 2013

Below are some of the expected challenges in the 2015 session that NFIB will be working on.

Lower personal, business and property taxes
NFIB/Montana will continually work to lower and simplify the personal income tax, all forms of business taxes, and property taxes by working with the legislative interim committees to help draft proposed legislation for the 2015 Legislature.

Fight local-option taxing powers being given to local governments
We expect local-option taxing powers to be brought up at the 2015 legislative session. NFIB/Montana will oppose such expansion of local government taxing authority.

Work with Montana lawmakers to cut spending before raising taxes
NFIB/Montana will always champion better money management in state government instead of simply collecting more revenue.
