The New York State Workers’ Compensation Board recently released a discussion document on a new Workers’ Compensation Medical Fee Schedule proposal and seeks feedback from stakeholders.
The current fee schedule, which has remained unchanged for nearly 20 years, is misaligned with advances in medical care, costs, efficacy and availability of procedures. As a result, the Board set forth a goal to revise the fee schedule based on cost, value of services and expanded access to care.
The Board invites interested stakeholders to review the proposed methodology and submit comments to no later than October 1, 2014.
