Do Your Legislators Really Support Georgia's Small Businesses?

Date: August 06, 2014

The state office of the National Federation of Independent Business has released its 2013-14 Voting Record show how every member of the General Assembly voted on key small-business issues. (Download a copy of the voting record here.)
“Every year, we ‘key vote’ certain bills that are especially important to our members,” said Kyle Jackson, state director of NFIB/Georgia. “We tell legislators that their votes are being monitored and that we’ll tell our members how they voted.”
The 2013-14 NFIB/Georgia Voting Record included 12 key bills, including legislation addressing workers’ comp reform, tax relief, employment law, preserving Georgia’s status as a right-to-work state and support of a federal balanced-budget amendment. Please note, Rep. David Ralston, in his capacity as Speaker of the House and presiding officer, does not cast votes on legislation but in the case of a tie vote.
