Connecticut Leadership Council Presents Young Entrepreneur Scholarships

Two Connecticut high school students were presented with
NFIB Young Entrepreneur Awards at the recent Annual Meeting of the
NFIB/Connecticut Leadership Council at the State Legislative Office Building in
Hartford.

Vivek Tedla, of Newtown, CT is
a national NFIB Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award Finalist and a senior at
Newton High School.  Vivek runs VRT
Studios, which provides photography services.
He will attend the University of Connecticut in the fall and was awarded
a $5,000 scholarship.

Jacqueline LeGree, of Waterbury, CT is the winner of the
NFIB/Connecticut Leadership Council Young Entrepreneur Award and a senior at
Wilby High School. Jackie runs OAK
Apparel (One of a Kind).  She’s a fashion
designer and she plans to open her own shop after graduation from University of
Bridgeport.  She was awarded a $1,000
scholarship.

A third student, unable to
attend the recent meeting, is Michael Zarlenga of Fairfield, CT, winner of the
NFIB/Horizon Services Young Entrepreneur Award and a senior at Fairfield Warde
High School.  Michael runs Zarlenga
Landscape Services and will also receive a $1,000 scholarship.
