Budget Amendment Task Force, NFIB Team Up

Date: November 05, 2015

“If legislators pass on this possibly one-time opportunity, they will owe future generations of debt-crippled Americans a good reason why.” – NFIB/Wyoming State Director Tony Gagliardi

With the urging of nearly six in 10 NFIB/Wyoming members who voted on their 2015 ballots to support legislative efforts to rein in federal spending that is threatening the solvency of our nation, NFIB is teaming up with the Budget Amendment Task Force to urge Wyoming lawmakers to make the state the 28th calling for a convention of states for the sole purpose of coming up with a balanced budget amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
“No one truly believes Congress will take the steps necessary to alleviate the $18 trillion in federal debt it has saddled America with,” said Loren J. Enns, co-founder of the Budget Amendment Task Force, which is spearheading the drive for a constitutional amendment. “If states will not seize this very vital initiative, our nation will be bankrupt, and sooner than you expect.”
This web page will be updated regularly with the latest information on the campaign.
NFIB calls on all its members to press the case with their state representatives and senators.

The Wyoming Legislature reconvenes in February for less than a month. Please act now in letting your lawmaker know about the importance of passing a balanced budget resolution.
