Anyone
who has dealt with union activists knows just how bullish they can be. Indeed,
it is not uncommon for them to enter onto private property carrying signs,
intimidating customers and employees alike. But did you know they are
emboldened by a California statute that affirmatively prohibits police and
state officials from enforcing trespass laws against union agitators? In our
view the statute is unconstitutional for a number of reasons, and we’re looking
for an opportunity to fight-back. For now, we’re asking California NFIB members
to let us know if you have had issues with union activists trespassing on your
property. Please take two minutes to answer a brief survey, to share your
experiences with us. And if you are currently facing issues along these lines,
please contact the NFIB Legal Center’s Sacramento office at (916) 448-9904.
