The RI Department of Labor and Training will require
applicants for unemployment benefits to post a resume on the state’s website www.employri.com. The Department’s goal is
to reduce the average time workers remain on unemployment and return workers to
the workforce within six weeks.
Reforms to the unemployment insurance system favoring
employers enacted by the General Assembly in 2012 are taking effect in 2014 and
2015.
