An Update from Your NFIB/New Jersey State Director

Date: March 17, 2015

Thank you for your valuable membership support. It is a privilege to represent you in Trenton. Here are a few updates that I would like to share with you:

BAN THE BOX: Employers should be aware that a law went into effect on March 1 that limits your ability to inquire into a job applicant’s criminal record. The law applies to all employers that employ 15 or more employees 20 weeks of the year. You can read more about it here.

TEN TIPS IN 20 MINUTES MARKETING WEBINAR: We hosted a great marketing webinar designed for small businesses on March 11, if you missed it you can watch it here.

As you know, our mission at NFIB is to promote and protect our members’ right to own, operate and grow your business. With your help, we can accomplish our mutual goals!

Together may we turn hope into success!
Sincerely,
Laurie Ehlbeck
NFIB/NJ state director
