NFIB Launches $200,000 Campaign in Support of Todd Young

Small business community rallies behind proven champion of working families, seeks to educate voters ahead of critical Senate election

Indianapolis, IN (OCTOBER 31, 2016)- The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) SAFE Trust launched a $200,000 radio advertising campaign in support of U.S. Senate candidate Rep. Todd Young (R-IN) as part of a broader, $650,000 effort to elect small business champions in key 2016 Senate races.

“This is a crucially important race that could determine the balance of power in the Senate,” said NFIB President and CEO Juanita Duggan.  “NFIB is urging Indiana voters to support Congressman Young, who stood with Indiana small businesses on every key issue during this Congress.”

NFIB identifies the key issues facing small business owners for every session of Congress and then tracks the voting records of every incumbent. Rep. Young earned a 100-percent score on the NFIB Voting Record in the 114th Congress.

“Small business owners have strong, steady champion in Congress with Congressman Young, and they need him in the Senate fighting for their interests,” said NFIB/Indiana State Director Barbara Quandt Underwood. “He will work hard to grow Indiana’s economy and support small business.”
