Small Businesses to General Assembly: Let’s Unleash Colorado’s Economy

Ahead of Governor Polis’ State of the State address, NFIB State Director Michael Smith urged lawmakers to prioritize the Colorado economy.

“As lawmakers convene in Denver, small businesses across the state are shouldering higher costs, bureaucratic red tape, and a heavy tax burden. Last year, the Legislature came together to cut Coloradans’ property tax bill – but more must be done. Our members are asking the legislature to reject costly mandates, cut spending, and protect taxpayers’ dollars.  When we help small businesses keep their doors open, we help all of Colorado, which is why NFIB will continue to work with legislators to make it easier to do business in the Centennial State.”
