Urge your lawmakers to reject this bad policy

Lawmakers in Annapolis are considering increasing your unemployment insurance taxes. The legislation would increase the taxable wage base used to determine unemployment benefits, indexing it to the average annual wage.

ACT NOW! Tell your lawmakers this legislation would make doing business in Maryland harder than it already is.

The legislation would increase the minimum and maximum amount of weekly unemployment benefits for claimants. It also increases the amount of taxes small business owners pay into the Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund (UITF).
