Small Business Tax Relief is on the Ballot this November

Small Business Tax Relief is on the Ballot this November

October 2, 2025

Make your plan to vote ‘YES’ on Prop 9 this November.

Why is Prop 9 so important? Prop 9 would keep $500 million per year in Texas, where small businesses can use it to invest in their employees and communities. This tax relief would make our state even more competitive when compared to neighboring states.

What is Prop 9? It is a constitutional amendment on the November 4th ballot to raise the exemption for business personal property tax (also known as the inventory tax) from $2,500 to $125,000.

Election Deadlines:

Tuesday, October 6: Last day to register to vote.

Monday, October 20 – Friday, October 31: Early voting in-person.

Friday, October 24: Last day to apply for a ballot by mail.

Tuesday, November 4: Election Day!
