Return to Work, Workers' Comp Updates

Return Employees to Work And Reduce Disabilities (REWARD) Employer Group  Tennessee employers interested in developing a successful return to work (RTW) program or improving an existing RTW program are encouraged to join this group. ?A significant benefit of the Employer Group is the opportunity to share experiences and hear from speakers on topics of interest at quarterly meetings. ?Past meetings have featured: identifying RTW Barriers, steps to take immediately after a work injury, and psychological and social issues impacting RTW. Sign up to be notified of future meetings and for the REWARD Report, a bi-monthly newsletter containing articles by subject matter experts.  TN Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Return-to-Work Coordinator Training Program  Employers receive free training in topics that are key to running successful return-to-work programs such as: coordinating return to work, how to work with physicians, and creating job information physicians want. The next class begins February 23, 2022 and runs through May 25, 2022. The virtual classroom meets every two weeks with self-paced learning in-between. Reserve your seat today.  TN Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Next Step Program  Injured workers use this program to take the Next Step after a work injury ends their career. They receive help on how to search, apply and interview for a new career, to develop new job skills or to obtain a degree. Qualified injured workers are eligible for a scholarship, up to $5000 per year for 4 years, for training at a TN state school. Get an application for your employee today.
