Tennessee Small Business Owners Take to Capitol Hill for DC Fly-In

The event gave small business owners a chance to engage directly with elected leaders

Earlier this month, several NFIB members from Tennessee joined many other small business owners across the country in Washington, D.C., for the 2025 NFIB Fly-In.

NFIB members heard from House Speaker Mike Johnson and met with other members of Congress and their staffs to talk about critical issues, such as repealing burdensome and costly beneficial ownership requirements and saving the 20% Small Business Deduction, which is set to expire at the end of the year.

NFIB Tennessee members met with Sen. Marsha Blackburn and Reps. Chuck Fleischmann, Scott DesJarlais, John Rose and David Kustoff, as well as a staff member with Rep. Mark Green.

“Our members appreciated the opportunity to speak directly with lawmakers about the legislation that affects their ability to grow their businesses and create jobs,” Brown said.
