Ohio Treasurer of State Launches Buckeye Business Loan Program

The program will offer reduced interest rate loans for small businesses

Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague announced the launch of a new program later this month that will offer reduced interest rate loans to certain Ohio businesses. The Buckeye Business Advantage program is offered to small businesses with 150 employees or fewer.

Requirements for the program include:

  • Business must be headquartered in Ohio
  • Business must be at least 51% domiciled in Ohio
  • Must have 150 or fewer employees, at least 51% of whom are Ohio residents
  • Business must be organized for profit
  • Must use the loan exclusively for business purposes
  • Must agree to comply will all program and financial institution requirements

 

The program puts the State’s balance sheet to work by allowing participating financial institutions to pass along interest rate savings to small business owners. Once the program launches, choose from any participating financial institution to get started!
