NFIB TN PAC Endorses Will Richardson in 86th District Special Election

The NFIB Tennessee PAC has endorsed Will Richardson in the special election for the open seat in House District 86. The political action committee is comprised solely of NFIB members from across the state.

“Will Richardson is the clear choice for small business in this special election,” NFIB State Director Jim Brown said. “He owns several small businesses and understands the challenges entrepreneurs face as job creators and investors in our communities. The NFIB Tennessee PAC proudly endorsed Will Richardson in last year’s primary, and we’re proud to do so again in this critical statehouse race in Memphis,” Brown said.

“I’m very grateful for the support of the NFIB TN PAC in this special election,” Richardson said. “As the owner of several small businesses, I understand the challenges and obstacles small business owners face day in and day out to be successful. I understand the responsibility we have and the tough choices we have to make to keep the lights on, and I’ll carry that viewpoint to Nashville as representative for House District 86.”

Early voting is underway and ends on Thursday, Jan. 19. Election Day in the primary is Tuesday, Jan. 24. Since no Republican candidate qualified to run in the primary, the winner of the Democratic primary will most likely be the next representative of House District 86.

Today’s endorsement puts the considerable grassroots support of the state’s small businesses behind Richardson’s campaign. Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for recruiting friends, family members, and acquaintances to vote. NFIB will encourage its Tennessee members to help turn out the powerful small-business voting bloc on Election Day.
